prompts included
Just when people thought ChatGPT had peaked, OpenAI dropped their most powerful model yet—o1-preview.
And trust me, it’s a game-changer!
This model doesn’t just respond; it thinks, reasons, and, most importantly, takes its time to deliver highly accurate answers.
People are already pushing the limits with o1-preview, and I’m here to show you exactly what they’re doing.
I went undercover on Twitter to dig up some hidden gems, and now I’m ready to share them with you. So without any further ado, let’s dive in!

The Best
GPT-o1-preview Examples
Let’s start with the first one!
1/ Building Chess Game
It sounds unbelievable, but a developer known as @slow_developer built a chess game in under 5 minutes using o1-preview.
Here’s the best part: no advanced prompting techniques were required. I replicated the process just by asking a simple question.
Build me a Chess game that I can play against AI oponent (in my browser).
That’s the magic of o1-preview—it thinks and reasons on its own. This means we no longer need complex prompts to get impressive results.
2/ Complex Animations
The next example is about as useful as nipples on a man, but it’s undeniably cool—so I had to include it!
A user known as @schtwiller asked GPT to create an animated donut using Python.
write Python code to produce a rotating donut in the terminal
The prompt was incredibly simple, but the result? Absolutely impressive!
3/ Building Real-Time FPS Game
If you thought building a chess game was impressive, wait until you see this. @kimmonismus asked the model to create a basic first-person shooter. And GPT delivered.
Here’s the mind-blowing part: this person had zero programming experience, yet they built and played the game in just a few seconds.
If that’s not wild, I don’t know what is!
4/ Deciphering Messages
It took Alan Turing years to crack the Enigma code and help win World War II.
o1-preview could probably do it in seconds. That’s exactly what I thought when I saw this next example.
A Twitter user named @SmokeAwayyy sent a hidden message to GPT, and as you can see from the screenshot, the model didn’t even break a sweat.
My Thoughts
I think o1-preview is incredible. It takes its time to think and usually gives you the most accurate answer. It’s currently the most powerful model available, but there’s a catch.
It’s slow and expensive. That’s why OpenAI has placed strict limits on its usage—even for PRO users, you can only access it a few times per hour.
So here’s my advice: give o1-preview a try, use it, but save it for when you really need it.
