Viral Spiral: How To Go Viral With AI
Watch me do it step-by-step
Have you ever published AI-generated post?
I did and it was a disaster…
No impressions, no clicks, nada.
But it was no surprise to me. The post was basic, it lacked emotion and it was just bad overall.
This got me thinking. Is it possible to create viral piece of content with AI?
I’ll try to find out today!
Creating viral tweets with ChatGPT
Prompting ChatGPT with “write a tweet about topic that will go viral and reach the masses“ is not enough.
And that’s why I’m changing the approach this time. Here’s what I’m gonna do:
Find a tweet that went viral in the past.
Turn that tweet into a template.
Use that template to generate a tweet about a new topic.
Let’s start with the easiest part.
I just scrolled for a couple of minutes and found this tweet.
This is Elon Musk.
He has a net worth of $200 billion, 11 kids and still has time to post content on X.
I needed to know how he manages his time.
Here’s what I found:

Let’s see if I can turn it into a template.
2/ Turn the post into a template
I brushed up my content analytical skills and this is what I came up with.
The tweet introduces someone popular, tells interesting facts about them, and then tells how they solve a certain problem.
Here’s the template I ended up with.
This is [public figure].
[quick but impressive facts about the public figure].
I needed to know how he [solves certain problem].
Here’s what I found:
1. solution #1 explained
2. solution #2 explained
3. solution #3 explained
4. solution #4 explained
5. solution #5 explained
Let’s try to use it to generate viral tweet with AI.
Now that I have a template, I need to build the prompt that uses it.
Use provided TWITTER TEMPLATE and INPUT to write a new Twitter thread filling the placeholders in template.
Your goal is to follow the TWITTER TEMPLATE, but you can make minor adaptations if you see fit.
- Use 8th grade English comprehension level.
- Don't use emojis and hashtags.
<TWITTER TEMPLATE>
...
</TWITTER TEMPLATE>
<INPUT>
...
</INPUT>
I went ahead and used the template.
I tried to create a Twitter thread about Jeff Bezos and how he manages his time. The full prompt looked like this.

And this is the result I got (full conversation available here).
Generated Twitter thread
This is pretty damn impressive if you ask me. All that’s left is to add a bit of formatting, maybe an image, and wait for the post to go viral.
